Why is offering apprenticeships and training good for companies?
I feel that apprenticeships are good for a business because they allow for a wider variety of young people to bring their view and opinions to work. Developing the business to become better in the future.
Why was a HNC right for you?
It allows me to learn key skills within a working environment and gain the benefits of learning in a college at the same time. Being able to work alongside other individuals develops your social skills as well, which is important when starting a career.
What’s some advice you’d give to young people thinking about doing an apprenticeship?
If an opportunity arises for an apprenticeship in an industry, which you find interesting or would like to journey down it is an ideal way to start and progress to a high job role if you have the drive. It is different from going to university as an apprenticeship provides you with hands on experience, which many people prefer.
